School Profile
Teaching Every Child in the Digital Age
Holyrood School is a safe, nurturing learning environment where we work with families and community partners to provide authentic learning experiences that actively engage students to strive for excellence so that they can pursue their dreams and contribute to the community in an ever-changing world.
The Holyrood neighborhood is a "mature", well maintained community with a large senior population. The majority of the school's student population live outside the immediate Holyrood neighbourhood. Students from more than thirty Edmonton communities attend Holyrood School and many of them are bused or car pool to school. Our parents are committed to working closely with the school to enhance and support their children's education. Holyrood School underwent a major modernization and renovation project which was completed in 2010. The school is currently involved in a major undertaking with the Holyrood Community League and the City of Edmonton in the design and revitalization of the green space surrounding the school and community property. In addition, with funding obtained from the Aviva Community Fund and local endeavours, we are currently completing Phase III of a multi-year project on the site of the school's former parking lot.
