Extra Curricular
At Holyrood School, we believe that participation in extra-curricular activities and leadership roles contribute to the total development of children. Students can choose to participate in a variety of activities, such as our choral music program (junior and senior choirs, Ukrainian and creative dances, intramural sports, library club, chess club, etc.). Different activities are made available throughout the year for different age groups. For students to become responsible citizens, they need encouragement and practice in a variety of roles and responsibilities at home and at school. At Holyrood School, we believe that student participation in leadership activities is important to building a positive working school climate and an important building block in developing responsible citizens. Student leadership activities at our school include: Student leadership roles are advertised on a bulletin board and students interested in a specific position are to complete an application form. Staff train, support and acknowledge student leader efforts and achievements. |
